Mr Antonov is excited to announce a renewed collaboration with composer Robert Rollin.
For those unaware, Robert Rollin is a composition professor and chair of the composition department at Youngstown State University. Professor Rollin is also the director of the Youngstown based New Music Society.

This collaboration will give birth to a brand new piece Professor Rollin will be writing for Avguste Antonov.
This collaboration is also thanks to Youngstown State University who agreed to support the project.

Concert pianist Avguste Antonov is excited to announce his contract with Parma Recordings, a major CD label.
Under the agreement, Avguste Antonov will record and release a CD of American music(composers and compositions to be announced at a later date) on the Parma Recordings label, with the CD being distributed internationally by Naxos. The CD is tentatively set for release during the 2010-2011 season.

My concert season is officially starting on September 12,with a fund raising concert to benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Then 1 week later, I will be guest at the University of Kansas where I will be performing a recital and also participating in a composer forum.

I am looking forward to those two events

On Saturday,September 12th 2009 at 6pm, I will be performing a fundraising concert to benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars http://www.vfw.org/
The concert will help raise funds for the many veterans coming home from Afghanistan and Irak. The VFW provides the opportunity to help our veterans thanks to their numerous programs which include scholarships,veterans health care and habitat.

I will be performing music written by American composers such as Carter Pann, Matthew Lewis, Dana Suesse, Raina Murnak and others.

Donations in cash/check are accepted.

The 2009-2010 season is beginning to shape.More negotiations are in progress and further info will be posted.
However as of now I am exciting to announce that my 2009-2010 season will begin at Texas Christian University(week of September 14th) where I will be performing a recital of music modern,organized by the composition department

A week after the above recital,I will travel to the University of Kansas for a recital(September 23rd).The recital there is being organized by Professor Winerock and the piano department.

Then, the end of the season will see me perform a concerto with the Hardin-Simmons University Symphony(March 2nd)

The 2008-2009 concerts season finished with a recital in Pittsburgh this past April 26th.
Following a few weeks of rest, I am now back in business in working toward the 2009-2010 season.
One of my first recitals in 2009-2010 will be at the University of Kansas on September 23, 2009. I am very excited about this opportunity and this recital is due thanks to Professor Winerock.During that recital,I am scheduled to perform 1 world premiere,1 US premiere and a possible Midwest premiere.
More info on that recital will be available in the next few weeks/month.

I am also currently in negotiations with orchestras and universities/colleges for concerts and more info will be provided.

I am looking forward to an exciting 2009-2010 season and I hope that many of you will be in attendance

So the concert at the University of Miami was this past Sunday and it went very well.
Everyone enjoyed the concert.
The world premiere of Raina Murnak's compositions were well received.
The singers(Murnak,Hersay and Fleming) were great.

I hope I will collaborate with the three singers in the future.

Raina Murnak and myself are now planning other concerts in collaboration with 2 other composers,but more on that will be available later on.

I am now in Pittsburgh for the last concert of this journey.The concert is scheduled for Sunday, April 26th 2009 at 3pm

First of all,the products page is not working well.There seems to be a bug with the "buy now" button for my CDs.
I will fix it as soon as possible,but it may not be done until I get back from my concerts.

On another note,I added some new features to the site:

-a brand new contact form to contact me directly from the site
-an event subscription module which allows to keep informed on my upcoming recitals in your area. So each time I do a concert in your area,I will send you a message about it.

Tomorrow,I am flying to Miami and Pittsburgh for concerts.I will be gone for 10 days so I may not be able to reply to emails and messages.

I am very happy to announce that yesterday,DJ Shuffle from the Eve-Radio played an excerpt of my performance of Carter Pann's Fantasy-Inventions,3rd movement

I have sent my recordings to other DJs of course,however as of now I am only aware of DJ Shuffle having played one of my recordings.

Back in 2002(if I remember the year correctly), I performed a recital at the Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina,Kansas.
The recital was then recorded for the Salina television and I was informed that the Salina television retransmitted the recital on 3/23/2009.

This was a wonderful surprise.I wasn't expecting that and especially, I completely forgot the recital was recorded for the television.

Pianist Avguste Antonov was one of the chosen musicians to be featured in the Piano Society book "In their own words".The book is a compilation of pianists talking about themselves. The book is released and can be purchased here

In using a brand new software called Reputation Defender,which can be found at https://www.reputationdefender.com ,I found out that my performances are featured on a couple of music websites.

On Imeem.com, the user Gregorio has posted my performance of Messiaen's "Colors of the Celestial City",performed and recorded live with the University of Kansas Wind Symphony in 2004.
