Né en Bulgarie,  Avguste Antonov a étudié le piano en Bulgarie (Dobrich), en France (École normale de Paris, Conservatoire de Bordeaux Jacques Thibaud) et aux États-Unis (2000: Université du Missouri-Kansas City; 2001-2004: Université du Kansas; 2006-2008: Texas Christian University). Il a étudié sous la direction de Alain Motard, Herve N'Kaoua,  Robert Weirich, Stanislav IoudenitchJack Winerock et Tamas Ungar.  Avguste Antonov a eu aussi l'honneur d'avoir des cours de maître avec Gerhard Oppitz,  Jean-Claude Pennetier, Olivier Gardon, Grigory Sokolov, Olga Kern, Laure Favre Kahn, Anton Nel, Roman Rudnytsky et Yoheved Kaplinsky.

Pianiste Avguste Antonov est à l'aise dans tous les répertoires, avec un intérêt particulier pour la musique des 20e et 21e siècles. Il a joué des premières mondiales et américaines dans des salles à travers l'Amérique du Nord et au fil des ans, il a travaillé avec les compositeurs Carter Pann, Gregory Hutter, Michael Colgrass, Raina Murnak, Matthew Lewis, Till Meyn, Matthew Saunders, Robert Rollin, William Vollinger et autres.

Avguste Antonov a présenté des récitals aux États-Unis (entre autres dans le Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Floride, Pennsylvanie, Texas, Ohio, Caroline du Sud et Tennessee), en Angleterre (Londres), Belgique (Bruxelles) et en France (Le Haillan, Chateaubriant, Saint Gildas de Rhuys)  . Il a été soliste avec de nombreux ensembles dont le San Jose State University Wind Symphony, le San Jose Wind Symphony, le Tulsa Camerata, le South Kansas Symphony, l'Orchestre d'Harmonie de Caen et Nantes Philharmonie. Les concertos joués incluent Schumann, Rachmaninoff 2ème, McDowell 2ème, Liszt 2ème, Ravel en sol, Gershwin en fa,  Gershwin "Rhapsody in Blue", Carter Pann "Concerto Logic" et Matthew Saunders "Piano Concerto".

En plus de faire des concerts, Avguste Antonov a présenté des conférences pour la Carrollton Music Teachers Association, la Frisco Music Teachers Association, la Kansas Music Teachers Association, la Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, la Wisconsin Music Teachers Association et le Colburn Piano Summer Festival.  Avguste Antonov est aussi membre de jury pour  divers concours internationaux, incluant les concours de piano et de musique de chambre ENKOR , le Sound Espressivo Global Competition le Music International Grand Prix  North American Virtuoso International Music CompetitionRoyal Music Indonesia 2021Grand Maestro International Music Competition et  ​World Classical Music Awards. En 2021, Avguste Antonov a été nommé au conseil consultatif de Sound Espressivo Global Competition et pendant l'année 2022,  il etait le president de World Piano Teachers Associations (WPTA) Piano Pedagogy.

Parmi les temps forts des saisons précédentes, citons un récital dans la residence de l'Ambassadeur Bulgare à Washington, la performance de Carter Pann "Concerto Logic" avec le San Jose State University Wind Ensemble, un concert "live" pour la Radio Publique de l'Etat de Kansas, la première mondiale et américaine de Matthew Saunders "Piano Concerto" avec l'University City Symphony (University City, MO) et le Lakeland Community Orchestra (Kirtland, OH).

En avril 2019 Avguste Antonov a déménagé  en France et en septembre 2020, il est devenu professeur de piano au Conservatoire de Châteaubriant . Depuis l'ete 2023, Avguste Antonov enseigne chaque année une masterclass pour le Talent Music Summer Courses (Brescia, Italy) . A partir de l'année 2023-2024, Avguste Antonov sera professeur de piano pour Talent Music Master Courses University of Music (Brescia, Italy) et pour l'Academie Europeenne de Musique.

En Juillet 2024, Avguste Antonov sera membre du jury pour le Indonesia International Piano Competition, et sera professeur pour le Indonesia Music Festival.

Born in Bulgaria,  Avguste Antonov studied piano in Bulgaria (Dobrich), France (Ecole Normale de Paris, Conservatoire de Bordeaux Jacques Thibaud) and the United States (2000: University of Missouri-Kansas City; 2001-2004: University of Kansas; 2006-2008: Texas Christian University). He studied under the guidance of Alain Motard, Herve N'Kaoua, Robert Weirich, Stanislav IoudenitchJack Winerock and Tamas Ungar. Avguste Antonov also had the privilege of taking masterclasses with Gerhard Oppitz,  Jean-Claude Pennetier, Olivier Gardon, Grigory Sokolov, Olga Kern, Laure Favre Kahn, Anton Nel, Roman Rudnytsky and Yoheved Kaplinsky.

Pianist Avguste Antonov is at home in all repertoire, with a special interest for the 20th and 21st century music. He has performed World and USA premieres at venues across North America and over the years he has worked with composers Carter Pann, Gregory Hutter, Michael Colgrass, Raina Murnak, Matthew Lewis, Till Meyn, Matthew Saunders, Robert Rollin, William Vollinger and others.

Avguste Antonov has performed recitals all over the  United States (including  Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee ), in England (London), Belgium (Bruxelles) and France (Le Haillan, Chateaubriant, Saint Gildas de Rhuys). He has been featured as soloist with various ensembles including the San Jose State University Wind Symphony, the San Jose Wind Symphony, the Tulsa Camerata, the South Kansas Symphony, Orchestre d'Harmonie de Caen and Nantes Philharmonie.  Concertos performed include Schumann Piano Concerto, Rachmaninoff 2nd, McDowell 2nd, Liszt 2nd, Ravel in G, Gershwin in F,  Gershwin "Rhapsody in Blue", Carter Pann "Concerto Logic" and Matthew Saunders "Piano Concerto".

In addition to performing, Avguste Antonov is active as lecturer and has presented lectures for the Carrollton Music Teachers Association, Frisco Music Teachers Association, Kansas Music Teachers Association, Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, Wisconsin Music Teachers Association and the Colburn Piano Summer Festival.  He is an adjudicator for various international competitions including the ENKOR Piano Competition, the Sound Espressivo Global Competition the Music International Grand Prix  North American Virtuoso International Music Competition, Royal Music Indonesia 2021Grand Maestro International Music Competition and  ​World Classical Music Awards . In 2021, Avguste Antonov was named on the advisory board of the Sound Espressivo Global Competition and in 2022, he was the president of the World Piano Teachers Association-Piano Pedagogy. 

Previous seasons highlights include a recital at the Bulgarian Ambassador Residence (Washington, DC) the performance of Carter Pann "Concerto Logic" with the San Jose State University Wind Ensemble, a live performance for the Kansas Public Radio, the World and US Premiere of Matthew Saunders "Piano Concerto" with the University City Symphony (University City, MO) and the Lakeland Community Orchestra (Kirtland, OH). 

In April 2019 Avguste Antonov returned to France and in September 2020 he became professor of piano at the Conservatoire de Châteaubriant.  Since July 2023, Avguste Antonov is on the piano faculty of the Talent Music Summer Courses (Brescia, Italy) . The academic year 2023-2024 will see Avguste Antonov join the faculty for the Talent Music Master Courses University of Music (Brescia, Italy) and for the European Academy of Music

In July 2024, Avguste Antonov will be adjudicating the Indonesia International Piano Competition, and will be on the faculty of the Indonesia Music Festival .
